The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a follow-up of The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games used Nimbb to let fans record a short video to win a trip. The company in charge of this project is Lionsgate, a leading global entertainment company with a strong and diversified presence several channel platforms.
In order to participate in this contest, candidates have to create and upload a 30-second video of themselves asking a question to the cast and crew of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”. Two Grand Prize winners will be randomly selected. The Grand Prize winner will get a round trip airfare to visit the movie set.
The Nimbb API has been useful in this project as its functionalities made the integration of webcam video recording very easy. This project had great success with approximately 600 videos submitted daily. Fans shared their videos on Facebook and The Hunger Games received thousands of videos with questions about their cast and crew.
